Ginger Rogers

(born Virginia McMath)
July 16, 1911 - April 25, 1995

     Ginger Rogers became an entertainment legend.  She danced her way into the hearts of millions and starred in both comedy and drama on stage and on screen. 

   She and Fred Astaire formed one of the most magical and memorable screen partnerships the world has ever seen.  She starred in 73 films and won a best actress award for her portrayal of Kitty Foyle in the 1940 movie "Kitty Foyle."
